Time Recovery holds back the apps that take your attention and asks for a short exercise before it lets them open.

If something is not working, the answer is probably below. If it is not, write to me — I read every message.

Please say which phone and which version of the app you are using. It makes the answer much faster.

Nothing is being blocked

The app can only put something in front of an app if the system lets it, and the permission has to be granted outside the app.

iPhone and iPad

Time Recovery asks for Screen Time authorisation the first time it runs. If you declined it, open Settings → Screen Time and allow Time Recovery, then reopen the app.

Android

Android needs two separate grants, on two separate screens:

Usage access — so the app can tell which app is in front.
Display over other apps — so the exercise can open on top of a blocked app.

The app names whichever one is still missing, and the button opens that screen. If your phone has a work profile, the second screen splits into Personal and Work tabs — Time Recovery is under Personal.

On some phones (Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung and others) battery optimisation can stop the blocker in the background. If blocking works for a while and then quietly stops, allow the app to run unrestricted in your battery settings.

Phone, messages and maps

These can never be blocked, by design, and they do not appear in the picker. Someone who has to call for help should not first have to finish an exercise, and a wrong turn is a bad moment to be asked for thirty seconds of posture work.

Purchases

I paid but Pro is not switched on

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same account you paid with. If it still does not appear, email me with the date of the purchase.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by the store, not by me, so they are cancelled there:

iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
Android: Play Store → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions

Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Pro until the period you already paid for ends. The lifetime purchase is a single payment and does not renew.

Refunds

Refunds are issued by Apple or Google, not by me. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: Play Store order history.

Your data

Which apps you block and how often you open them stays on your phone. It is not sent to me or to anyone else. There is no account and no sign-up.

You can erase everything the app has stored from inside the app, at the bottom of the home screen. Details are in the privacy policy.
